Stadion Wisły Płock
|Cost||PLN 80-100 mln|
Stadion Wisły Płock – design description
Complete reconstruction of the Kazimierz Górski Stadium in Płock is expected to be phased and result in a long-anticipated football-only stadium. Stands are expected to move to just 6 meters away from the field, or as close as regulations allow.
Concrete stands would accommodate 15,000 people on a single tier, with the exception of western main stand, which would get a modest upper level, just above a strip of commercial boxes. Access to the stadium would be provided from level +1 in the West, South and East, while the northern grandstand lies lower and is available from level 0.
Simple, but still appealing general form will be dominated by blue cladding, reflecting the colour of anchor tenants Wisła Płock.
Poland: Płock cancels stadium tender
After waiting since 2016, now supporters of Wisła Płock realise another year has been lost. Uniquely lengthy stadium tender was cancelled after nearly 12 months since being launched in 2018.
Poland: Płock faces tough choice on new stadium
Wisła Płock is literally the last Ekstraklasa club not to have a new stadium built or in the works. This might change but municipal authorities are facing a very difficult challenge: how to meet financial expectations of the only company willing to deliver the desired stadium.
Poland: Tender launched for new Płock stadium
Design+build competition is now open for new 15,004-seat stadium in Płock. Contenders have until November 6 to submit their bids and the winner will be given 3 years to deliver complete design and stadium.
