Stadion Vranje – design description

The concept for a new stadium in Vranje, in the south of Serbia, was presented in 2019. The construction became possible thanks to a government programme to subsidize investment in sports infrastructure. Work was supposed to start as early as the end of 2019, but has since been postponed several times.

Originally, the facility was to be built near the sports hall on the site of the municipal sports center. In 2021, however, this plan was changed, moving the project a piece to the east – in place of the Yumco stadium. In 2023, new renderings by the Pro-Ing studio from Novi Sad emerged. Construction is likely to begin in 2024.

The stadium is expected to meet UEFA Category 4 requirements, with a capacity of 8,302 spectators.
