Vodafone Arena – design description

The concept envisages new stands being built within the bowl of historical Inönü. Historical southern façade and western main entrance gate are to be preserved. Inside a colonnade is to encircle new stands, giving support to cable roof with membrane cover.

Seating layout is to include two tiers with corporate seats (147 skyboxes) alongside the pitch. Upper tier is expected to be wavy, lower to the east and taller to the west. This layout will provide a view of the Bosporus for some spectators. Under the new structure a 600-car parking for VIPs is planned.

Due to architectural and traffic restrictions capacity of the new stadium cannot vary significantly from current one, thus only 40,000 seats are expected.
