Brisbane Showgrounds – design description

The well-deserved Brisbane Showgrounds is set to undergo a major upgrade in time for the 2032 Olympics. The reconstruction will focus mainly on the tallest, eastern part of the stands, and once completed, the facility will have a seating capacity of 20,000. The surroundings of the Main Arena, meanwhile, will be transformed into an Olympic village.

The upgrade will not only ensure that competitions can be held during the Olympic Games, but will also keep the tradition of the Brisbane Showgrounds alive for years to come.
