Gradski Stadion Subotica – design description

The multipurpose stadium, which has existed since 1936, is to be completely rebuilt. In recent years, a new athletics track and a scoreboard have been created at the facility. The pitch was also renovated and received a drainage system.

The revamp will result in the construction of new single-tier stands. The entire building is to be covered with a roof with built-in floodlights on poles, which were built several years ago. Playing field is to receive a heating installation. The total gross building area of the venue will be 47,282 square metres.

8,506 seats are intended for ordinary fans, 192 for journalists and 104 for VIPs. All these changes will give the stadium the fourth UEFA category. Works are scheduled for 20 months. It is not yet known when they begin. The reason for this is the coronavirus pandemic.
