Kickersstadion – design description

An Oval-shaped stadium is to be built in the Dallenberg district near the B19 motorway. The planned facility will be rotated 90 degrees in relation to the current flyeralarm Arena, which will be transformed into a recreational area. The pitch is to become a playground and a climbing garden is to be built in the vicinity of the main stand.

A location away from a residential area and fully covered stands that would reflect the sound towards the ground would solve the problem of excessive noise and light pollution of the neighbourhood. In the design phase, protection of drinking water intakes in the area should be taken into account.

In addition to the stadium, there will be a three-level car park for approximately 1,600 vehicles. Solar panels are planned on the roof of the car park. Upon completion, the venue will meet the requirements of the two highest football leagues in Germany.
