Mestský stadión ve Vítkovicích – design description

The design is already second one for the same venue. First vision from 2007 has been scrapped due to high cost. Downscaling capacity by a half and leaving the existing main grandstand allowed for the budget to fall three times, to 823 million CZK.

Dismantling of the old terraces started in June 2012 with east stand first to be rebuilt anew, expected to be ready in May 2013. Two other stands (north and south) are expected in mid-2014.
