ANZ Stadium – design description
The concept of ANZ Stadium’s complete redevelopment would see existing primary roof structure retained as well as the four cylindrical towers outside.
Major changes would come inside where all of the seating bowl would be destroyed and built from scratch. Deeper into the ground, steeper and most importantly in rectangular layout, the stands would be perfect for rugby/soccer games, offering 75,000 seats for fans.
The rebuilt stands would see reconfigured roof on both ends, including both permanent sections above stands and retractable segments covering the field.
