Stadion BMW – design description

New stadium is to be built on a degraded plot that will in turn be adapted as public green space. Two football pitches (one with running track), several ones and a pier are to be created as well.

Largest municipal venue is to resemble a traditional Betawi turban (common for Jakarta) due to large arches encircling it as façade elements. Roof is to be covered with membrane and stands, said to hold at least 50,000 people, will have two tiers – lower behind goals, where more light and air is to enter the stadium.
