Bassano Stadium – design description

The renderings present pre-feasibility concept of how Stadio Velodromo Rino Mercante in Bassano del Grappa (northern Italy, near Vicenza) could be redeveloped. The vision foresees incorporation of current main grandstand (south) into a brand new seating bowl, for the first time in strictly football layout.

By late 2016 the club indicated the goal would be 5,000 capacity, but the concept presented in February 2017 suggests a much larger stadium of up to 8,000 seats, leaving enough room for secondary commercial uses. In its initial phase the stadium would operate with 6,000 capacity, though this might be expanded to the afore-mentioned 8,000.

The stadium is part of Bassano Virtus 55 aspirations to reach top level of Italian football.
