Şehir Stadi – design description
Developed initially in 2009, this vision of Ofiss Mimarca is to be associated with a flat football. In practise the elliptical form consists of numerous angular shapes, some of which stand out due to their vivid green colour.
Construction didn't start until spring 2012 and only in early 2013 did the structure start growing up from foundation stage.

New designs: Turkish stadium boom
Two are ready, 18 further (!) are to be delivered within the next couple of years. In total Turkish government hopes to open over 20 new stadiums across the country. And some of them will recover entire spending right after opening.

Turkey is growing strong ahead of UEFA’s vote on Euro 2020 hosts. Though with several more venues like this one the country might be able to fight for a World Cup in a few years. Let’s see how it looks in Konya, shall we?
