Fudbalski stadion Lagator – construction description

In 2019, a concept for a new football stadium in Loznica, prepared by the Pro-Ing studio, was created. In October 2020, a tender was launched, which was entered by one bidder, however, proposing a price that exceeded the budget. It was finally decided at the end of December to sign the contract. The value of the deal is 3.6 billion Serbian dinars (3 billion excluding tax). The construction will be financed from public funds.

The main contractor was a consortium of companies Termomont doo Beograd, Teming Electrotechnology doo Niš, MPP Jedinstvo ad Sevojno, Geourb group doo Beograd, Saša Milosavljević PR Centar za preventivni inženjering, projektovanje, edukaciju i savetovanje BP Consulting Kruševac, Tron Tex doo Novi Sad, CEP doo Beograd and Dim trade Beograd.

The facility will be built partly on the site of the previous FK Loznica club stadium. Demolition of the old facility began in March 2021 and construction of the new arena began in April 2021. For the duration of the works, FK Loznica, which plays in the PrvaLiga (second league level), moved to the stadium in the nearby village of Klupci, the day-to-day home ground of the FK Radnički Klupci team.

The new venue will have a rectangular, typical football layout. The stadium's covered, two-storey stands will surround the pitch on all sides and have a capacity of 8067 spectators. Low floodlight masts will be placed on the roof. A training pitch and parking areas will be built next to the arena. The planned completion date is April 2023.
