USF Stadium – construction description
The new University of South Florida (USF) stadium will be built on the university’s main campus, in the northern part of Tampa. The construction was officially inaugurated on November 8, 2024, and is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2027.
The stadium will become the home of USF’s football team, the South Florida Bulls, leaving behind the oversized Raymond James Stadium. It will also serve the women’s lacrosse team and host other events, including graduation ceremonies.
The stadium will have a capacity of 35,000 spectators, and its mostly uncovered stands will be shaped to fit a football field. The project also includes a new training complex called the Center for Athletic Excellence.
The structure will appear unified, but each stand will have its own distinctive design: the south stand will feature a large pavilion with suites, the west stand – dedicated to students – will be decorated with a motif inspired by the USF logo, and a huge video board will be installed on the eastern side.
More details about the USF Stadium project can be found on a dedicated subpage
