Tire Stadyumu – construction description

Construction of a brand new stadium in the town of Tire (population of over 50,000) is the initiative of Izmir metropolitan authorities, in whose jurisdiction the town lies. The stadium will have 13,500 seats (initially planned to be 12,000) and it saw groundbreaking in August of 2015. Delivery was scheduled after 700 days.

The new stadium will serve players and fans of third league Tire 1922 but it's designed with potential promotion to the Super Lig in mind. Two-tiered stands will see 10 rows on each tier and behind the auditorium three floors of infrastructure were created.

Most distinctive aesthetic element of the stadium is its outer envelope. Both the roof and facades are curved in a way that makes it instantly recognisable not only within Turkey.
