Stadion Avii Świdnik – construction description

The complete reconstruction of Świdnik’s municipal stadium began with old embankment demolition in October 2012. The project was already then delayed after tender procedures proving too complex, resulting in only a minor part of the plan being done by the end of 2012 (work valued at PLN 1.5 million instead of 4 million was carried out).

Overall the new Świdnik stadium is to have the same layout as it used to previously with main stand being located along the southern side and several separate sections on the northern side, all combined holding some 2,800 people. Complete renovation of the club offices, new covered VIP section, training pitch, parking lot and floodlights were also planned. The stadium is to meet the requirements of 3^rd tier football when finished.

With initial delays not being overcome in 2013 the stadium wasn’t delivered on time (initially set at October 1, 2013) and is thought to be ready for use in early 2014.

The complete budget of the project stands at PLN 18 million, of which EU development funds consist almost 60% (PLN 10 million).
