Stadion Stali Stalowa Wola – construction description

Redevelopment of Stalowa Wola’s stadium on Hutnicza St started in June 2011 with dismantling of east stand. In place of old sloped land a new structure of concrete and steel was erected, with capacity at 1,430 seats.

It was to be the first phase of a 10,000-seater stadium, but during implementation decision was changed and plans to downsize the venue are currently worked on. As an attempt to save Stalowa Wola municipality from excessive spending, further development has been halted until money is available.

Works restarted in late 2016, when demolition of the old main grandstand took place. It will make way for a new 2,000-seat covered main stand. It will not only become the headquarters of Stal, but also of the Subcarpathian Football Center being created around the stadium.
