Eskişehir Stadi – construction description

New stadium in western Eskişehir will be able to hold roughly 33,000 (initially suggested to be 34,930). The double-tiered stands will create a continuous bowl around the field.

Construction was initially expected to begin in late fall of 2012 and end in early 2015, after 800 days of works. However actual construction began later and the deadline wasn’t met.

Early (and only!) renderings suggested the stadium’s roof would be supported by 8-10 tall pylons, but eventually it became a much more unified structure with 28 smaller supports.
