Jinhu Sports Center Stadium – stadium description

Jinhu is a town located in Jiangsu Province in eastern China. Administratively, it is part of the city of Huai’an, although in practice it exists as a separate settlement about 70 km south of Huai’an.

In 2020, a project to build a modern sports complex in Jinhu was launched, implemented as a public–private partnership. The main facility of the complex was intended to be a multi-purpose stadium, which was opened after five years of construction.

The first event held at the new stadium was a music concert on 24 August 2025. The first football match took place on 29 November 2025 as part of the Huai’an Super League.

The stadium features an athletics track surrounded by an oval ring of stands with a capacity of over 12,000 spectators. The stands are encased in a steel frame with a distinctive pattern forming the roof structure.

In addition to the stadium, the complex includes three other large buildings: a sports hall with a capacity of over 5,000, a smaller training hall, and a recreational and cultural facility intended for the local workforce.

The main facilities are connected by an elevated platform that encircles the stadium and then extends in a wide arc on the western side, linking the three other buildings. Inside this arc is a training field and track.

The complex is complemented by small sports fields, access roads, pathways, and green spaces. The entire site occupies a nearly rectangular plot of just under 185,000 m². The complex is situated at the southern edge of Jinhu’s built-up area.
