Stadion Victorii Jaworzno – stadium description
The stadium in Jaworzno had its last major revamp in 2002, done to meet requirements of Ekstraklasa, in which Szczakowianka played at that time. Since then regulations are more strict, but due to Szczakowianka’s relegation, there was no need for more work.
The stadium holds some 7,000 people, most of whom are seated (1,042 also covered).
Szczakowianka wasn’t the first major tenant with Victoria, defunct since 2011, being the historical host. Due to lack of proper stadiums in the region this stadium was also temporarily home to GKS Katowice and GKS Tychy in seasons when both had to leave their venues.
In September 2005 youth national team of Poland played their first game here, while the female national side is a frequent guest to date. Since 2018 the ground also has a year-round training field beside it.
