Stadion Stali Rzeszów – stadium description

The ground was built back in 1955 with modest artificial hills surrounding the pitch and speedway track. Until 2012 only the main grandstand and motorbike park provided infrastructure. That changed with new east stand construction.

To enable the redevelopment project, the stadium was transferred from the club to Rzeszów municipality in 2006 and when the city received EU subsidy in 2011, works started. In less than a year new 4,700-seater stand was erected with cover not only for supporters, but also the track. The investment is just first phase of what is to be a completely new 20,150-seat stadium.

Until the new vision is completed, the ground has two system of floodlights. Four massive masts in the corners lighten the pitch (500 lux) while several smaller on the perimiter provide light for the speedway track (900 lux).
