Stadion Wigier Suwałki – stadium description

Initially the Wigry Suwalki stadium was designated for 5,000 viewers, though only 40% could use the seated home stand. Capacity decreased in 1997 due to further installation of seating and then again in 2011, after main grandstand was rebuilt from scratch.

For  app. €5 mln the grandstand with two tiers was raised, along with significant amount of infrastructure with office space and spectator facilities. Also floodlight masts were inaugurated in September 2011 to light the new, heated pitch as Suwalki are often called the Polish ‘north pole’. All this work was phase one of a complete revamp, stadium awaits the 2^nd.
