Description: Stadion Legionovii
The stadium in Legionowo (North of Warsaw) was initially built with only one stand, west of the pitch. It would have been a regular landfill terrace if it wasn’t for two features. First, the stand is dominated visually by rough concrete tower for event speakers. And second, the pathway running on top of the stand is actually the main pedestrian passage through local park, open regardless of events.
The stadium is surrounded by secondary infrastructure like two training pitches, basketball, beach volley and other courts. It also received a small temporary eastern stand to meet requirements set for 3rd league grounds in terms of covered seating.
In 2015 municipal authorities made a bold step. Not only was the central section covered (750 square meters isn't impressive itself), but also the stadium became Poland's first to extensively use solar panels.
Poland: Safe standing just one step away
After two years we're finally just a step away from safe standing being legal in Poland. Supporters should expect the law to go into effect before year end!
