Stadion Miejski w Chojnicach (Stadion Chojniczanki)
|Address||Chojnice, ul. Mickiewicza 12|
Description: Stadion Chojniczanki
Built in 1932, this ground had its best time during socialism. In 1970's even the national team of East Germany came for a friendly against local side Chojniczanka, packing the stands well over capacity. Crowds in excess of 10,000 were happening in those days with some of Poland's most legendary players sometimes appearing here, to name just Boniek or Smolarek.
In the 21st century several renovations were carried out to improve its standard with replacement of old terraces with smaller section of seating, partial cover and floodlights, though the lighting only allows for evening training.
Poland: Safe standing just one step away
After two years we're finally just a step away from safe standing being legal in Poland. Supporters should expect the law to go into effect before year end!
