Description

In Spring 1970 construction of Ruch Radzionkow’s stadium started on the current site in Stroszek, Bytom (interestingly, the site is not in Radzionkow). Estimated costs stood at app. PLN9 mln, of which half was donated by regional authorities and the other half by local industries. Official opening of the 16-acre site took place on June 16^th 1973 and was one of the most important events in club history with a long list of officials in attendance, including the Mining and Energetics Minister and regional governor.
