How was Dabie Shan Sports Center Stadium built?

Construction of the new stadium in Tiantang (Yuexi County, Anhui Province), officially started on December 30, 2020. The investor was Shengshi Tianyuan Group and the construction cost was 85 million yuan. The stadium was being built right next to the sports hall (Tianyuewan Gymnasium), which opened in July 2014. Together with the hall, the new stadium was to form a major sports complex serving the entire Yuexi County.

When was Dabie Shan Sports Center Stadium inaugurated?

The facility was ready in spring 2023, and was inaugurated with the opening ceremony of the 15th Dabie Mountains Azalea Tourism and Cultural Month, held at the stadium on April 15, 2023.

What are the characteristics of Dabie Shan Sports Center Stadium?

The stadium is equipped with an athletics track, which is flanked by an oval ring of single-tier stands of equal height around the perimeter. The first rows of stands were placed high above the ground, forming a wall with numerous windows and doors leading to the sub-tribune.

The stands are not equipped with individual seats and the concrete steps are only painted in white, blue and red. The capacity of the auditorium is 10,000 people. The main stand is located to the west and is the only one with a modest membrane roof over a short section, extending from the adjacent annex building.

The stands are accessed by vomitories and the stadium can be entered directly from outside through two gates located on the curves, which are decorated with Olympic wheels. The outer perimeter of the stands is varied with rows of columns, creating an arcade.
