Eintracht-Stadion – stadium description

Though the Brunswick stadium stands since 1923, nowadays it looks nothing like in early years. Major redevelopments of which last took place in 2010 led to creating a closed bowl with four individual stands, each with one tier and cover.

Together they accommodate 25,540 people of whom 13,700 have seats while others – on the curves behind goals – use terracing. Just to compare – initial capacity of the ground was slightly higher (28,000), but everyone was using the same wooden stand.

Highest capacity was available in 1960’s, after 1964 redevelopment, when it reached 40,000. Just three years later local side Eintracht celebrated national championship. Today, after series of revamps its smaller, but more modern and comfortable.

In 2013 the new main grandstand was built in the west, comprising extensive hospitality infrastructure and decorated with blue-yellow vertical blinds. A 3-floor pavilion was added to the plaza in front of the stand.
