Auestadion – stadium description
When it was opened in 1953, some 20,000 people turned out, despite this number being beyond capacity. Today the ground holds some 18,800 people and though attendances aren't equally good, they have to be considered decent with local club Hessen remaining in lower leagues and still drawing thousands.
Current layout sees two end stands being uncovered terracing, while two sides along the pitch having seats and cover. The latter two were created between 2006 and 2009, when the condition of historical 50-year-old-stand was ranked too poor for further use.
