Městský fotbalový stadion Srbská – stadium description
Opened back in 1926, this stadium Saw quite a few disciplines player. In 1952 first track and field national finals, then horse racing, speedway, not forgetting about Spartakiads, popular during socialism.
Although currently used by renowned side Zbrojovka, historically this venue is connected to a rather unknown club. Sparta Královo Pole, established back in 1910 had its only season in top tier in 1960’s and was disbanded in 1995. No wonder the ground was dilapidating as no major games were played here until Zbrojovka came along.
However to enable the club to play here, municipality had to spend CZK 110 million in 2001, installing seats and performing a general facelift of the old stands. Additional works followed in 2016, when the west side received a vast roof. Capacity decreased slighty from 12,500 to under 11,000.
