Description: Spartak Stadion
New stadium for Novosibirsk was built in 1927. As it later turned out, it was erected in the place previously occupied by local cemetery. Is one of the most important venues in the city with massive floodlight masts overgrowing even vast residential blocks built nearby.
Before it became what it is today, it went through several overhauls. Of those first came already two years after opening as the ground was already in need of repairs, another one in 1952. In 2004 stand opposite the main one received a new roof, in 2010 came the artificial pitch and in 2011 a new giant screen, literally a giant.
New design: The crystal of southern Siberia
Their games are watched by less than 2,000 people on average, but it’s freezing for much of the season here. Will the new Novosibirsk stadium change local football’s fate?
Russia: New restrictions for fans ahead of 2018 World Cup
New bill regulating behavior of supporters is being prepared in Russia. Supposed to be based on English, German and Polish legislation it puts new restrictions on fans, but is also discussed with them, “Vestnik Kavkaza” reports.
New stadiums: Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk
We decided to update every country that wins Turing Euro 2012. Since we’re Polish, not particularly happy about only Russia earning their 3 points. But hey, stadia in Novosibirsk and Krasnoyarsk are still well worth a look!
