The gray stadium will take on the club's colors

Home matches at Estadio José Zorrilla will be made more attractive by the renovation of the stadium. At a cost of €990,000 from the CVC fund, the club will completely transform the gray facade of its facility, repainting it in black and shades of purple. There will also be two large coats of arms of the club, its name and the year of its founding - 1928 - as well as the letter V. So far, the club has invested €11 million in the facility from the CVC fund.

The club assures that the renovation will make the facility look as beautiful on the outside as it does on the inside. The work is being carried out by Molcaworld, which in the past has renovated Cívitas Metropolitano, Estadio Azteca or Al-Awwal Park, among others. Work already underway will be completed in September. Also on the horizon is a deeper reconstruction of the stadium, which Mayor Jesús Julio Carnero promised during his campaign a year ago.

Work on turf maintenance is currently underway, as reported by Marca. More seeds are being planted on the current layer of grass. The pitch must be ready before August 18, when Real Valladolid faces Espanyol Barcelona at Estádio José Zorrilla in their first Primera División match.

It remains to be seen, however, whether a return to the highest level of the Spanish competition will interest the club's owner, Brazilian legend Ronaldo Nazário, whose recent declarations seem to have shocked everyone. I can't watch soccer matches in their entirety, I find it very boring. - stated Ronaldo, explaining that he prefers to watch tennis matches instead, even ones that last five hours. Spanish media speculate that Ronaldo will sell Real Valladolid in the summer.
