It's past midnight, and already February 15, so as announced, our voting competition has started and it's up to you to decide. As many as 36 football arenas from six continents will be competing for this year's Stadium of the Year statuette. The choice is therefore very wide and what can we say... we look forward to your votes!

Which stadium will win the Stadium of the Year 2022?

The 13th edition of the competition, in which you, the readers of StadiumDB.com, can vote for the best football arena in your opinion, commissioned in the past year, has just begun. Our contest has grown over the years to become one of the largest and most prestigious of its kind in the world. In the record-breaking 2014 edition, nearly 100,000 votes were cast! The first-place prize is among the most honoured awards in sports architecture, decided by the voters. The final of the 2021 edition was held at the award-winning Estadio El Sadar in Pamplona, and the founder of StadiumDB.com was invited to the ceremony.

In the past 12 months, a true flurry of football arenas have been commissioned around the world. As every year, our editorial team, with your support, has prepared a list of venues that will compete to win. To take part in the vote, stadiums must meet the following criteria:

• be put into use in the year preceding the vote
• be completely new or have undergone major redevelopment
• be suitable for hosting football matches
• have a capacity of at least 10 000 spectators

2022 was a record year in this respect, as 36 arenas from 6 continents qualified for the competition! 18 venues are from Asia, 7 from Europe, 5 from Africa, 3 from North America, 2 from South America and one from Australia and Oceania. The competition is fierce, so don't hesitate to cast a vote for the stadium you appreciate the most!

How to vote for Stadium of the Year 2022?

To take part in the competition, everyone has to choose five stadiums, awarding 5 stars to the best, 4 stars to the second best, 3 stars to the third, 2 stars to the fourth and finally 1 star to the fifth most interesting. This means that you cannot vote for just one stadium - all 5 venues must be included in the form. To vote, visit our platform for Stadium of the Year 2022, which will be open until March 15.
