Inter Miami CF is a team founded at the beginning of 2018 and invariably headed by former legendary footballer, David Beckham. The English celebrity first led the team to their Major League Soccer debut in the 2020 season, and now the club has finally received planning permission for its new stadium, which will be part of Miami Freedom Park.

Inter, compared to the other newcomers like Austin FC and Atlanta United, are doing average in the current MLS season. Before the campaign, however, no one was predicting them to finish high in the regular season. Given the cultural mix found in Miami, the club is set to open up to multiple markets. Perhaps a cricket section would be a good option, allowing the team to be at the top of ipl predictions 2022, competing with clubs from India.

Until now, the team has played its games at DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, which replaced its predecessor, Lockhart Stadium. The construction of this facility was express (10 months) and very cheap - it cost just $60 million, which is a bargain by American standards. However, the time for change has come. It was clear from the beginning that the 18,000-seater was only a temporary option, and that the construction of a new venue was to come in a few years. As it was decided, so it will happen.

The dream of David Beckham & Co. came true on April 28 during a meeting of the Miami city commission. When the vote was read out in the city hall, cheers erupted. Admittedly, the Englishman was not in the room during the verdict, but his partner and Inter Miami managing director, Jorge Mas, said the project would cost them $203 million over time.

Miami Mayor, Francis Suarez, calls it a landmark moment for the city. I've never been prouder to be a Miamian. Never been prouder of this commission - Suarez said. The hard part starts now. Getting this built is more difficult – added Mas. The only one disappointed after the meeting was Commissioner Manolo Reyes, who felt that it could have been a better offer.

Miami Freedom Park, of which the new 25,000-seat facility for Inter Miami will be a part, will be built on the site of the current Melreese Golf Course and Country Club. The entire complex will cover 131 acres (53 hectares)

In addition to the stadium, the project also includes an office park, a hotel and a retail complex. Current projections are that the total rent paid over 99 years will be $2.67 billion. Next up is the final agreement and valuation, which should be ready later this year.
