Earlier today the city of Łódź officially launched the tender for three remaining stands of the new ŁKS stadium. Currently only with the main grandstand of 5,700 seats, the building is expected to grow beyond 20,000 seats, detailed number depending on final design.

The tender is ran in design+build formula, which means the companies willing to compete have to finalise the documentation, receive all necessary permits and then carry out the construction work. Offers will be accepted until 11am on October 4.

The city's financial expectations are for the expansion to cost under PLN 95 million (€22.2m) altogether, which would be roughly as much, as the main grandstand itself had consumed back in 2015 (albeit with demilition of the old stadium included in the price).

The winning company will have 40 months to deliver the complete stadium (early 2022), unless a shorter period is on offer. In fact, the price category only covers 60% of the requirements, 30% is dedicated to shortening delivery time, while the last 10% of possible points will be awarded for experience of the architectural team working on the proposed stadium expansion.
