As demolition, enabling works and tender ended, construction can finally begin at MTK Budapest future home. But first a simple ceremony was held at the site.
On Monday MTK Budapest had a double celebration. On the one hand the club enjoyed 127th anniversary and on the other the cornerstone mounting ceremony took place at the site of former Nanndor Hidegkuti Stadium.
The cornerstone consisted of a decorative capsule with historic medal, newspaper celebrating Hungary’s recent Euro 2016 qualification and a certificate confirming the special occasion. In just over 9 months (!) the new stadium of MTK is to be completed
Contractor has time until August 31, 2016 to deliver all areas of the new 5,300-seat stadium. It might sound easy, but the venue has quite some infrastructure for its size, including 41 skyboxes (!) and commercial spaces to be used on daily basis.
