Spartak Stadion – stadium description
New stadium for Novosibirsk was built in 1927. As it later turned out, it was erected in the place previously occupied by local cemetery. Is one of the most important venues in the city with massive floodlight masts overgrowing even vast residential blocks built nearby.
Before it became what it is today, it went through several overhauls. Of those first came already two years after opening as the ground was already in need of repairs, another one in 1952. In 2004 stand opposite the main one received a new roof, in 2010 came the artificial pitch and in 2011 a new giant screen, literally a giant.
