Stade François-Coty – stadium description
When it was opened in 1969, it was named simply Timizzolo. Later on name has been changed to honour Ajaccio’s mayor, but one thing hasn’t changed over the decades. The ground offers spectators fantastic view on the Mediterranean Sea with its location on a hill and one open end.
Complete redevelopment began in 2007 and was supposed to retain the view, with three stands completely covered and seated being the plan. Initially hoped to be opened in 2008, it won’t last shorter than until 2013 before the plan is carried out.
