Third tier at Spotify Camp Nou to drive capacity and income
A central part of the redevelopment is the construction of a third tier, which is expected to push capacity beyond 105,000 spectators. That would make Spotify Camp Nou one of the largest football venues in the world. More seats mean a clear upside in matchday revenue potential.
Estimates suggest that once this section is fully operational, ticket sales alone could generate around €83 million annually—a major leap compared to current figures and a key pillar of FC Barcelona’s revamped business model. The opening of new sections will be phased. The first step is the partial launch of a side stand, expected early in the season—most likely in October. This section alone could bring in around €27 million per year.
The next stage involves opening the main stand (Tribuna), planned for late December or early January. Revenue from this area is estimated at around €25 million annually, although the number of available seats will be somewhat limited by VIP zones and allocations for partners and media.
In the following phase, scheduled for spring, the sections behind the goals—north and south—are set to open. These are expected to contribute roughly €20 million per year. Completing the layout will be the four corner sections, projected to add a further €11 million. While individually smaller, they play a meaningful role in the overall financial picture.

Spotify Camp Nou redevelopment as FC Barcelona’s financial backbone
Once all works are completed, FC Barcelona expect total annual stadium-related revenue to reach as much as €350 million. This figure goes well beyond ticket sales, incorporating income from VIP hospitality, food and beverage, commercial events and sponsorship deals. The stadium is being designed not just as a sports venue, but as a year-round business hub.
One of the final stages of the project will be the installation of the roof, scheduled for 2027. This is a complex process that could take several months and may affect stadium operations. There is a real possibility that during this period, FC Barcelona will have to play some matches away from Camp Nou, as was the case during earlier phases of the redevelopment. The club is already considering alternative venues to ensure continuity.
