The American coffee shop chain has opened a new and unique store: in the heart of the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, with views of the pitch and an exclusive menu. Under the slogan "passion for coffee, passion for Madrid" the shop joins the restaurant zone of the Merengue temple.

This Friday at 11:00 am it opened its doors for the first time what Starbucks promises to be its most exclusive shop in the country.
With 900 square metres and two floors, the coffee shop at the Santiago Bernabéu becomes its 222nd location on the Iberian Peninsula. For the opening, the American network hired 65 new baristas.
Inspired by the Starbucks Reserve Roasteries, which only exist in Seattle, Shanghai, Milan, New York, Tokyo and Chicago, it offers much more than the usual Starbucks menu – exclusive products and coffees from the Starbucks Reserve, but will also have an area dedicated to cocktails and mixology, as well as cultural activities. And what will matter to those who are more football fans than coffee fans: it has great views of the pitch.
This way Starbucks joins the few gastronomic establishments at the new Santiago Bernabéu. Real Madrid's offer also includes a brewery, two restaurants and an exclusive sushi bar. However, the opening Bernabeu Market will lenghten the list.

"It's awesome" said one X user who visited the coffee shop. "A good place to have a coffee", agrees another. However, there is no shortage of negative comments. "Florentino [Perez - ed. note] is turning the temple of football into a tourist circus. The socios are not the priority," complains one fan. "I don't like the fact that they have removed the Real Café Bernabéu to put in a Starbucks” says another.
