Spain: Luxury sushi restaurant at Santiago Bernabéu now open The newly renovated Santiago Bernabéu is among the most cutting-edge stadiums in the world, boasting features like a retractable roof, a full 360-degree video screen, folding stands, and a sliding pitch. Yet, the stadium’s true gems lie in its VIP areas.

An extraordinary restaurant

A VIP ticket to any match includes gourmet catering, hostess service, and access to cloakrooms in exclusive hospitality lounges. These tickets can be purchased for individual matches or the entire season. The crown jewel of Bernabéu’s VIP experience is KO by 99 Sushi Bar — a luxurious restaurant located in Box 39 that transforms into a premium hospitality zone on matchdays. It's another example of how the new Bernabéu blends football with high-end retail and gastronomy.

Inspired by Japanese izakayas, the restaurant sits on the stadium’s tenth floor and offers a contemporary take on traditional cuisine, designed to encourage sharing and social dining. Situated in the heart of Paseo de la Castellana, the venue covers 600 m² and includes a terrace with a unique pitch view. The space features gilded columns and lush greenery forming miniature gardens. It accommodates 99 guests and offers a main dining room, two private VIP lounges, and the terrace overlooking the field.

High demand

On matchdays, KO by 99 Sushi Bar becomes a VIP hospitality suite, offering Real Madrid’s full premium service experience. But this exclusivity comes at a cost — according to Marca, VIP tickets for the Champions League match against Arsenal range from €790 to €2300. On such occasions, the restaurant is completely closed to the public. Tickets for the Arsenal rematch and the clash with Athletic Club are already sold out, and even potential semi-final dates (April 29 or 30) have been booked.

Outside matchdays, the restaurant operates as an exclusive fine-dining venue, where the average bill per person is around €125. The menu includes luxurious items like sea urchin or caviar tartare for €200, as well as premium meats, Atlantic sea bass, and black cod. The experience is elevated by sommelier Mónika Fernández, who curates a selection of over 250 wines and spirits from Spain, France, Hungary, and Portugal, along with exclusive signature cocktails available only at this location.
