Zaragoza City Council has unveiled the new names for both La Romareda and the temporary stadium in the Parking Norte. The deal could bring in 19 million for the management company, but the figure will almost certainly be lower.

On Tuesday it became clear what the mayoress of Zaragoza, Natalia Chueca, was referring to when she said on Aragón TV that Ibercaja had bet very strongly to keep the naming.
The bank will pay €1M a year when Real Zaragoza will play in Segunda División and €2M in the event of promotion to Primera. These numbers far exceed the expectations of the consistory, which asked for at least 600,000 € in the second tier and €1M in the first tier.
In exchange, Ibercaja will give its name until 2035 to Nueva Romareda, which will be renamed Ibercaja Romareda, as well as to the modular stadium, which will be the home of Real Saragossa during the reconstruction of Romareda. From now on it will bear the name Ibercaja Estadio.
Thus, the management company of both stadiums, Nueva Romareda SL, made up of the city, the Government of Aragon and the club itself, will receive at least €10M (if the team plays for the next 10 years in the second tier). However, should the club be promoted in the 2025/26 season to Primera División and remain there until 2035, the amount would reach €19M. It is unclear what the consequences of a relegation to third league would be, but given that the €10M will be provided by Ibercaja in advance, it is most likely that nothing will happen.
