Real Betis will facilitate the access of its season ticket holders thanks to the introduction of NFC season passes. The technology will allow those who download their ticket in the Google Wallet or Apple Wallet apps to pass the control by bringing their cell phone close to a reader at the entrance turnstiles.

In order to use the NFC season pass, the season ticket holder will have to download the official Betis app, identify themselves in it and download the season ticket in Google or Apple Wallet. The club considers this innovation to be a step in its firm intention to facilitate access to Estadio Benito Villamarín.

In early September this technology was introduced by Girona at Estadi Montilivi, and even earlier by Mallorca at Son Moix. Other LaLiga EA Sports stadiums where NFC technology is already in use are Cívitas Metropolitano, José Zorrilla and Mestalla.

NFC (Near Field Communication) technology is also used in some stadiums in the United States and England, among others. It consists of a communication between two devices within a distance of up to 20 centimeters. It is used for card payments or displaying train and airline tickets.
