Yesterday AFC Bournemouth released a brief statement regarding the planned south stand construction. The club has taken the decision to delay redevelopment plans following a meeting of its board.
A statement from the Cherries blamed "ongoing negotiations with the club's landlord to purchase the stadium". Lack of progress means that Bournemouth will remain the team with single smallest stadium in Premier League regardless of which other sides win promotion.
With just 11,464 seats at Vitality Stadium (Dean Court), Bournemouth are struggling to cash in on their high ticket demand, which is why the expansion to over 14,500 was announced in the first place.
