Stadium Tan Sri Dato Hj Hassan Yunos (Stadium Larkin)
|Clubs||Johor Darul Ta'zim FC|
|Renovations||1991, 1996, 2013|
Description: Stadium Larkin
The stadium was built in 1964, but back then it was a minor venue with only some 15,000 people to accommodate. In 1991 capacity doubled after an extensive revamp. Athletics track, floodlight masts and media infrastructure also came allowing the ground to host major events. One of these came in 1997 when youth World Cup was played here. Seats were installed as parts of preparations for the event.
New design: See what the Prince of Johor is building
If you’re 32 years old and have your own football team, you must be a prince in an oil-rich state. Well, maybe not exactly, but Prince Ibrahim Larkin is now building a stadium of his own name.
Malaysia: Super stadium in the Johor Strait
Largest man-made island complex is being created in southern Malaysia. Apart from skyscrapers also a new football stadium is planned, hoped by local prince to be the most state-of-the-art in the whole world.
