Fish cakes…

During the recent match between Rosenborg Trondheim and Lillestrøm at Lerkendal Stadion, fans clearly expressed their dissatisfaction. Just after the first whistle, they threw fish cakes towards the pitch. There were so many that the referee had to stop the match and send the players back to the locker room. The match was resumed after some time, but after 30 minutes of play, the referee interrupted it for good. Tennis balls and flares made it impossible for the game to continue. This way, fans aim to remove the VAR system from the league.

...and toy cars

This is not the first such incident in Norway. In mid-July at Brann Stadion, during a match against Haugesund, local fans sent a remote-controlled car onto the pitch. Attached to it was a can emitting red smoke. The car had a small flag with the slogan "End VAR - Save Football". At the same time, locals chanted in the stands, "VAR destroys football". A similar situation occurred at Alfheim Stadion during the match between Tromsø and KFUM Oslo. In addition, fans also threw tennis balls onto the pitch.
