The NBA All-Star 2024 Host Committee has announced that the Saturday portion of the weekend, which brings together the league's best players, will take place at Indianapolis Colts stadium. On February 17, Lucas Oil Stadium will host a Slam Dunk and 3-Point Contest, among other events.

Next year's NBA All-Star Weekend will take place in Indianapolis. This city is home to the Indiana Pacers team, whose house is the Gainbridge Fieldhouse multi-purpose indoor arena. It is in this venue that the most important part of the entire event, the All-Star Game, will take place, crowning the entire weekend. However, the NBA All-Star is much more than a showdown between the league's best basketball players, and the celebrations last for three evenings. 

The NBA All-Star 2024 Host Committee has decided that the Saturday portion of the event will take place at Lucas Oil Stadium, where the NFL's Indianapolis Colts football team plays on a daily basis. All-Star Saturday Night will take place at the facility on February 17 and will bring together many of the league's brightest stars to showcase their skills in the AT&T Slam Dunk, Starry 3-Point Contest and Kia Skills Challenge.

The competitions will be held in the southern section of the 67,000-capacity stadium. The northern part of the arena, meanwhile, will be used for concerts and performances. Around 35,000 seats will surround the hardwood court. The choice of Lucas Oil Stadium is intended to make the event more accessible to locals.

Lucas Oil Stadium as well as Gainbridge Fieldhouse are located in downtown Indianapolis in close proximity to each other. The walkability and good downtown transportation make the city ideal for hosting major events of this kind.
