USA: Capacity boost for F1 Grand Prix in Miami Following the attendance success of this year's Formula 1 Grand Prix in Miami, the event’s organisers have revealed plans to increase the capacity of their venue. The Miami International Autodrome, where the race is taking place, is a temporary circuit built around Hard Rock Stadium, home of the NFL’s Dolphins.

This year's competition took place between 6 and 8 of May. Miami welcomed Formula One drivers for the first time in its history. The event attracted a great deal of interest, as a sold-out crowd attended each day of the festivities. Some 85,000 fans checked in the stand built around Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens. Among diehard F1 fans, there were many celebrities and influencers, as well as numerous curious individuals who wanted to experience the races for the first time.

Ahead of next year's event, the organisers have made changes to the race plan. These include the installation of 56,000 seats in the stands around the circuit, an increase of 3,000 over this year. One of the quirkiest parts of the race track, the fake marina, with painted water and several yachts being dragged to the site for no particular reason, is set to be part of the Autodrome next year as well. The oddity situated on the inside of turns six, seven and eight, triggered huge publicity for the event on social media.

Miami F1 president, Tyler Epp, told Motorsport.com: 2023 will see the return of the iconic MIA Marina and Hard Rock Beach Club which were some of the most popular parts of the MIA campus. We have listened to our fans from last year and plan to increase shade, water stations, and will be adding additional viewing platforms around the circuit.

The large number of fans in attendance is a signal to the organisers that the audience in the USA loves Formula 1 and the lack of competition between 2008 and 2011 has created a real thirst for the races. And now we can clearly see that two Grand Prix in the United States per season is not too many at all. The Miami race in the opinion of many may be the most glamorous one, apart from Monaco of course. The same way, according to The Casino Wizard, mbit casino is the best online casino for 2022. Tyler Epp also promised in the interview that: In year two, we will continue to showcase the best of Miami - culture, entertainment, food, music and community.

However, it is a pity that the track planners were unable to do better for Hard Rock Stadium itself. It seems a bit of a let-down to host a race next to a state-of-the-art venue without somehow incorporating it into the competition. In Mexico, the circuit enters a baseball stadium, where fans can watch drivers trying to make an overtake in a tight corner. Decision makers in Miami should also think about something similar in the future.
