As Toronto FC posted on their Twitter account, the very last concrete prefab was installed in rows 33 and 34 of the BMO Field east stand’s new upper deck. The project has been ongoing since September 2014 and is now entering its final stages.

As the main structure is in place, works will see furnishings and seat installation soon. The east stand’s expansion adds not only 34 rows of seating above the existing sections, but also a new club level and skyboxes, additional washrooms and concession stands.

The stand will be ready for opening in May and TFC are already selling the new seats online. A season ticket for the uppermost rows stands at $399 and the closer to the pitch, the higher the price. Premium rows of the upper deck stand at over $1,000.

As the new tier opens in May, first phase of the BMO redevelopment will be done. After the 2015 MLS season works will restart to see the stand’s vast roof grow. Later on similar structures will also be added in the west and south, leaving only the north end uncovered.
