England: Another club ready to test safe standing After Aston Villa now Peterborough United give full support to the idea of standing room inside their ground. “Posh” are in a more complicated situation, because no-one knows what rules will apply to this club until season is over.

Supporter-launched campaign in support of “safe standing” (like in Germany, Sweden, Scotland, Denmark, etc.) gained one more club to their support list. After Aston Villa and Derby County, now Peterborough United are ready to be put through a test with this idea, should an opportunity appear.

But until then “Posh” are in a bizarre situation. And this is exactly how club chief executive Bob Symns called their position - “bizarre“. They won't know whether their London Road needs to be all-seated or not until the end of the season.

Peterborough United are in the Championship and, should they avoid relegation during the 2012-2013 season, will be forced to close their ‘terraced’ ends or install seated accommodation. If the club were relegated to League One they would be allowed keep their terraces.
