Stadionul Dr. Constantin Rădulescu – stadium description

Though it exists since 1973, the stadium had to wait until 21st century to become modern. CFR Cluj started climbing up the league ladder with a new owner and needed a quality ground. Capacity was first increased to 14,000 and then to 23,500 in 2008.

Thanks to the revamp many international games took place here as CFR Cluj advanced to Champions League group stage twice (2008, 2010) and Romania coming to Cluj after 85 years to play an international game (against Lithuania, 2008).
