Stadion Utama Palaran – stadium description

It was built by provincial government of East Kalimantan. Officially named Stadion Utama Kaltim it is more commonly known as Utama Palaran. This representative ground for the whole region was erected ahead of 17^th National Week of Sports in 2008. Inauguration ceremony was attended by Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Indonesia's president.

There is no major football tenant. In May 2009 the national league final took place at this ground, but due to low-fanbase clubs participating, the attendance was only around 10,000 people.
